Tutankhamun was an Egyptian pharaoh who ruled during a brief period in the 18th dynasty. He became king at around the age of 9 and ruled until his death at approximately age 19. His tomb was discovered in 1922 and contained many treasures and artifacts that provided insights into life during the reign of the boy king in ancient Egypt.
