Company X
Dear ( ),
DTR45 is an independent hip-hop record label based in Bu alo, NY www.dtr45.com . Over the years DTR45
has dedicated itself to expressive artistic revolution, classic wordplay, skillful and innovative music, community
development, and spiritual awareness. We strive to be the vanguard hip hop label, and have been fortunate
enough to stay ahead of the curve for over 10 years now.
I am pleased to present you with the fourth annual “Art of Hip Hop” at the Albright Knox Art Gallery on August
28, 2009 and the second annual “Art of Hip Hop Festival” August 27-30th. This event is intended to celebrate
history, create a sense of pride in the community and promote the in uence and growth of hip hop.
The Art of Hip Hop began in 2004 as part of an initiative to increase membership to the Albright Knox.
Unfortunately, after three years of it being the most highly attended event at the Albright Knox Art Gallery,
the budget for events like these has been completely depleted. We are now calling on the community for
cooperative marketing partnerships in order to put on this vital public event.
Billy Drease Williams, the headliner for the event, one of the event planners, and a former employee of the
Albright Knox just wrapped up an exciting performance at Toronto’s premier music and lm festival North by
Northeast. Williams has also been a featured performer on the 2008 Van’s Warped Tour, was a praised artist
on the 2008 URB Magazine Next 1000, Artvoice’s 2009 “Best in Bu alo” for Hip Hop, and Bu alo Spree
Magazine’s 2009 “Best Solo Musician of Western New York.”
Other performers during this exciting weekend will be DJ Cutler, DJ LoPro, Fresh Guac, Depree and the Verve
Studio Breakdancers, plus much more talent from Bu alo as well as regionally and nationally known
musicians and artists. A full schedule with venues is included in this packet of information.
We are seeking sponsors who will bene t from the marketing and success of this event. We look forward to
discussing the details and bene ts of the sponsorship with you.
Sincerely,
Claudia Neba
