Cloudera is a software company with Apache Hadoop at its core. It will devote significant resources to developing Hadoop and providing training, certification, and support. Cloudera also recognizes that there is a revolution in analytical data processing happening and more software needs to be built for data collection, processing, and reporting/analysis. The Apache Hadoop community is at the center of innovation for big data, with many contributors working on improving and expanding its capabilities. Cloudera Desktop is a tool that provides interfaces for interacting with Hadoop clusters, and Cloudera plans to release an API to allow partners to build additional applications.
