Samsung P3 PMP offers true haptic feedback
By Kunal Gangar on January 8th, 2009
Samsung’s latest entrant in the world of PMPs is P3. It features a 3-inch WQVGA display
with an aspect ratio of 16:9, which somehow wants to compete with Apple’s iPod Touch.
Comparisons aside, the 0.39-inch svelte player will come in storage sizes varying from 4GB
to 32GB and plays all the popular video, audio and image formats. The USP of the player is
its EmoTure touch interface that promises to give true haptic feedback. Every swipe or touch
on the screen will activate a variety of physical sensations for more intuitive user experience.
2. Spicing things further, Samsung has included its proprietary audio enhancement DNSe 3.0
and Bluetooth to hook it up with the phone to answer calls from the player’s built-in
microphone. Expect the player to ship by the first half of this year.
