9. What the film says... A Vision of K-12 Students Today Forbidden Students today are “Digital Natives” and rather learn though technology. Students are able to relate more with technology when learning. They are able to multi task. Everyone can learn differently. Technology allows students to learn new ideas. Shows three generations of females all living in the same house. Friendships can be determined by relationships with family. The older generations in the family have an influence on the younger generation.

11. Good features of the film in content and technique A Vision of K-12 Students Today Forbidden Through the introduction at the start of the film it allows the viewer to relate to what is happening. The students don’t verbally tell the story. Written words are used to tell the story. The zooming in and out from the words. All the students come together at the end to sum up the film. Props through the film allow for connections. The story isn’t told until the end of the film. Holding viewers in suspense. Camera angles throughout the film see aspects on each persons life. Tracking shots. Good for PDHPE and Self and Relationships. Use of music throughout the film.
12. Areas for development! Both films are good examples for their own reasons. Forbidden is a good example to show students the camera angles and film technique. However, the story isn’t summed up until the last few minutes and leaves the viewer questioning as to what just happened. A Vision of a K-12 Student today allows the student to relate to the film and tells the story before the film starts. Another way to convey the story is by talking with the students in an interview style.
