• Come and talk to us before publishing or communicating your idea outside your
research group
• Keep notes of your ideas with dates and signature
• The Intellectual Property developed at City University is owned by City University,
it’s in your contract
• Talking to third parties – Use a non-disclosure agreement
• Sending/Receiving material with third parties – Use our Material Transfer
Agreement
• Don’t horse trade your IP for a contract!
