Speaker notes: Now I would like to introduce you to Intel® vPro™ technology - Intel's outstanding new premier business desktop brand, offering three essential benefits… manageability, security, and power efficiency optimised for business. A good question right now would be why would Intel want to create a computing platform especially for small and medium-size business users? Surely there’s a huge choice of PCs already out there that would do the job? The fact is that small and medium-sized businesses have needs that are quite different from domestic users. Recent research by AMI Partners has revealed 3 top computing priorities for business customers… (click next slide)
Speaker notes: Trainer – key messages for this slide: Small business customers have specific priorities … and here they are. (briefly run down the 3 bullet points) Of course, these are not the only challenges small businesses face, but within the computing environment these are the three most significant. Now, new Intel® vPro™ technology answers all these challenges and more… (click next slide)
Speaker notes: Trainer – key messages for this slide: Proactive security Windows Vista-capable Return on investment Proactive security means you can run virus scan and anti-spyware tools in the background with the performance of an Intel Core 2 Duo processor. You can protect vital data by continuously copying to an optional second drive added to each PC. While the person responsible for the network– or external managed service providers (MSPs) – can remotely check and update virus software out of hours, even when a PC is off or the operating system is down. Intel Core 2 Duo processors at the heart of the Intel vPro technology are now mainstream. They have the performance a business needs as it expands and as its computing requirements grow. In addition, PCs with Intel vPro technology are Microsoft Windows Vista Premium and Microsoft Office 2007 ready. Discussion – return on investment But no business wants to spend money without getting a good return. So what’s the return on investment for PCs with Intel vPro technology? From what I have said so far, what do you think would be a return on investment for a typical small business user? ( discuss with group, summarise as follows) Apart from gaining the ability to get more done in less time, users benefit from savings in PC maintenance and telephony costs. In-house support – or external support from a managed service provider – can remotely manage and maintain the PCs, while Voice-over IP (VoIP) PC-based phone calls can lower costs and provide advanced calling and collaboration services. Bear in mind, of course, that Voice over Internet Protocol capability requires DSL or other high-speed internet connection, PC headset or speakers, and microphone, along with third party software.
Speaker notes: Trainer – key messages for this slide: vPro is Intel’s premier DT brand What to tell your customers I’ve explained some of the essential practical features of Intel vPro technology. You now know that Intel® vPro™ technology is Intel’s premier business desktop PC brand for enhanced security, superior manageability and energy efficient performance. What’s more, along with improved performance, PCs with Intel® vPro™ technology built in can be managed and protected even if the system is down, or off. Invite comment on bullet points But what should you be telling your customers? Here are some of the benefits of this new technology that Intel has especially optimised for business. (Run through each bullet point, discussing and clarifying as necessary) As you can see, Intel vPro technology is now mainstream – it’s Intel’s premier business desktop brand. So what does that mean for your customers, and for you? (click next slide)
Speaker notes: Your commercial customers get PCs that are optimised for business. They benefit from built-in manageability, security and energy-efficient performance that, right now, has no equal. With Intel vPro technology-based PCs, their capacity for satisfaction is far higher than with an ordinary, off the shelf PC. So you can deliver greater satisfaction for your business customers than ever before. And you all know that satisfied customers usually come back for more. If your customer’s business is growing , he may need more PCs. And think of the cross-sell opportunities – peripherals like printers and scanners, networking products, software applications and more. The sales opportunities for you are significant. And that means enhanced commission or store team bonus earnings, as well as the personal satisfaction of using your sales skills and specialist knowledge to recommend the breakthrough performance of Intel vPro technology to your business customers.
