• ISO/IEC MPEG Standard [ISO/IEC 23009]
– Media presentation description (MPD) and segment
formats (ISOBMFF, M2TS)
• Dynamic adaption to the usage environment
• Usage of existing Internet infrastructure
• Adaptation logic & intelligence at the client
