As the content manager, I was the creative, marketing and communications
leader of the Office for Career and Alumni Success (CAS). In collaboration with
the department executive director, team leaders, advisers, technical
coordinator of relationship management, industry relations manager and
communications department I supported the projects designed to: enhance
students' out-of-classroom educational opportunities, reflect professional and
alumni interests, and engage industry recruiters.
Here’s a snapshot of what I worked on this past year...

7. Oglethorpe Publishing, LLC (OPLLC)
As a co-owner and creative director, I created and ran strategic marketing
campaigns to assist our sales team using print collateral and social media
engagement.
Let me tell you about some of the cool stuff I did there...
8. OPLLC {print}
I designed and managed the quarterly production of our
flagship product, The Savannah Historic District Map.
Brides also often requested our maps to put in gift
baskets for their guests.
Our distribution put the map into the hands of
approximately 250,000 Savannah visitors per year.
The overall beauty of the design, and ease of use,
increased the demand for our map amongst our
customers.
9. OPLLC {online}
I developed content for our Web site historicdistrictmap.com
and our blog hh6passport.com.
The online activity propelled our site to come up on the
first page of a Google search for "free Savannah maps."
I also managed our social network on Facebook, Twitter
and Foursquare.
Using Google Analytics, Facebook's stats and Hootsuite
Analytics, I tracked traffic trends and used the data to
help shape the content for our sites.
10. In the past, I have worked at...
• Savannah College of Art and Design
• The Department of Veterans Affairs
• The Creative Group
• The Litchfield Partnership, Ltd.
• The Society for Direct Investing
• The American Red Cross Blood Services
• Armstrong Atlantic State University
11. I have a passion for helping others...
and do so by sharing my talents volunteering.
12. Light the Night® Walk {committee member and marketing committee chair}
Increased awareness of and
registered teams/individuals
for the event:
• managed the local social
network on Facebook
and Twitter
• distributed posters and
brochures
• organized a team and planned
events to raise funds to reach
goals
• assisted with event plans
13. St. James Catholic School {marketing committee}
Developed and maintained a
brand identity for the school:
• designed a new logo and crest
• created and helped maintain
the school's Facebook
presence to build community
and perpetuate the brand
• art directed and designed
advertising materials to attract
new students
• designed and laid out
newsletter to go out to 400
student families and more than
1000 parishioners twice a year
14. I went to school for graphic design.
B.F.A. from SCAD - The University for Creative Careers
16. SCAD Service to the College Award
• residence life assistant
• rising star assistant
• student activities
volunteer
• bookstore cashier
• cheerleader
• athletic trainer for the
men's soccer team
• manager and statistician
for the baseball team
I volunteered, participated and worked part-
time for the university in a variety of capacities
for four years.
!
One male and one female student were
selected for this award before commencement.
17. While a communications manager at SCAD
Throughout its 40+ year history, the Council
for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA) has
evaluated the interior design programs of
hundreds of colleges and universities
throughout North America. It is important to
note that not all programs seeking
accreditation (or reaccreditation) are
accepted. Nearly 200 programs have been
accredited by the Council for Interior Design
Accreditation since its inception.
!
The National Architectural Accrediting Board
(NAAB) is the sole agency authorized to
accredit US professional degree programs in
architecture. Most state registration boards
in the United States require an applicant for
licensure to have graduated from a NAAB-
accredited program, obtaining such a
degree is an essential aspect of preparing
for the professional practice of architecture.
Conceptualized and managed a comprehensive
communications plan for two CIDA
accreditation and one NAAB accreditation
exhibitions for SCAD.
!
The result: raising the bar for future CIDA and
NAAB visits to other schools seeking
accreditation/reaccreditation. The interior
design programs (at Savannah and Atlanta) and
architecture program at SCAD were each
accredited/re-accredited respectively.
18. Suggestion Award
I created a form and process to
streamline appeals for veterans’
claim(s), shortening the wait for a
decision on their claim(s) from 90
days to 30. The suggestion was
approved and implemented.
Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Benefits Services Awards
Individual Award
I exceeded the performance
standard criteria for a veterans
service representative. Benchmarks
included case management
productivity, accuracy rate,
customer service and timeliness.
19. I have also done some freelance work...
for individual clients, large and small businesses, and non-profit organizations.
20. These experiences have given me a unique skill set as a
creative, content and communications manager.
How can I help you?
