23. âą As the overall economic growth,
average income can rise, but the
distribution unevenly the poor may
benefit little, and pockets of
extreme poverty may persist.
24.
25. So we may ask
ourselves:
âHow to
end or
eliminate
Povery?â
26. In the world, even some very rich areas, it stills have poverty.
Why?
Because the imbalance of income distribution and lower
chances to have a better education and health care for the
poor.
27. Government can decrease the tax of low income class
and make a high tax to the rich level to help the poor. It
also can give a supplement to the poor to have a
education chance.
28.
29. In the world, some people are so rich, if they can share some of their
wealth to the poor, it will give more people a chance to get a new life.
And if a person is very poor and wants to get some money to start
business, he can hardly to get a loan from the bank. So government
should make some policy or special banks to give small debt to the
poor.
30. In Bengal, Prof. Muhammad Yunus set a bank
named âGrameenâ especially give micro-credits
to the poor and it made millions of people have
chance to start their own development. Not only
in Bangladesh, but also in many other
countries, this bank has a great impact. It made
him won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2006 for his
contribution.
31. Education is very important in decreasing poor. Many people canât
have a similar chance to enter college compared with the person who
was born in rich families. If poor people doesnât have a good
education, they wonât have a excellent working skill or knowledge to
help them earning money to break through poverty. And the poverty
will inherit to their next generation. The rich get richer, the poor get
poorer. In some rich areas, such as in USA, Singapore, Hong Kong,
Gini Coefficient is also very high.
32. The government should also give a basic
health care for the poor. If a country
without enough health care for their
people. One family or person may become
poor for a severe sickness. So a good
society health care system can decrease
much poverty percentage and prevent
people from being poor.
35. "Poverty is man-made and it can be overcome and eradicated by the
actions of human beings."
