Common Tips before you going for a Vastu
Vastu for Master Bedroom
The bedroom which belongs to the owner of the house is known as the master bedroom.
Master bedroom should occupy the south- west portion of the house since the direction
reflects the heaviness of mother earth. It should be noted that this direction is reserved for the
master bedroom only. The floor of the bedroom should not be broken up into pieces.
AC, TV and other electronic equipments find their place in the south-east corner of the
bedroom. The entrance to the bedroom should be in the north-east corner.
Vastu for Living Room
The Living Room is the front room where guests are entertained, once they enter the house.
This is the room where they make their first impression. As per vastu ideal position for living
room can be in the North-East ,as in a west facing site the living room can be in the north west .
Vastu for Kid’s Room
Kids' room should be constructed in the northwest corner of the house. The study desk
should be placed in such a manner that the child faces eastern, northern or north-eastern
corner while studying. The computer/Laptop should be placed in the southwest corner.
Vastu for Kitchen
The right place to set your kitchen is in the south-east corner. If you never find an apt position,
then you can avail the alternative of locating it in the north-west corner, Building kitchen in
north-east, mid-west, mid-north, mid-south, south-west or in the centre is strictly not
recommended, as they are out of vastu norms, Ensure that the cooking area never touches the
sidewall of northern or eastern side .The right location to cook food is by setting it on the
direction of east
Vastu for Pooja Room:
According to Vastu, north-east direction is the most ideal for worshipping. The belief has it that
Vastu Purush laid his head in this direction when he was brought onto this earth.
Another major reason for regarding this direction for puja room favorable is that it receives
the rays of sun when rising. This not only purifies the atmosphere of your house but brings
in prosperity and positivity as well. Vastu Shastra requires you to place the idols on a height
from the floor. 18 inches is the maximum height recommended for the idols to be placed at

home . Direction of puja room needs to be north-east of bedroom in case you have to build
the space here due to lack of space in the house.
Vastu for Study room
The study room should be placed either in the Northeast / East or West side of the house.
Students must face East/North while studying. A beam should never run above your head while
studying.
Vastu for Bathroom
As per Vastu the bathroom are built in any direction- east, west, north or south ,the bathroom
is essentially used for keeping oneself clean and hygienic and getting rid of the wastes.
Cleanliness should be maintained since a bathroom is the only area in the house which attracts
the guests at first. Cleanliness is next to godliness and it applies perfectly in the case of a
bathroom.
Vastu for Guestrooms
According to Vastu Guestroom should be at Northwest direction. It’s clear and suitable place
for the guest room. Please provide the bathroom at Guest room only, because at needy times
he should not come outside if possible. The position of bed should be placed in southwest
direction of guestroom.
