2. Plan de présentation
1. Présentation de Groupe Nippour/SGI
2. Origines de GEOCTOPUS
3. L’architecture de la solution
4. GEOCTOPUS 2.0
5. Questions
3. La puissance du regroupement !
• 19 professionnels:
production
• Géomatique (SIG, GPS, imagerie, etc.)
• Gestion de bases de données (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL,
etc.)
• Programmation (PHP, HTML,JavaScript, C#, Python, CSS, etc.)
• Gestion de serveurs, débits, sécurité informatique
4. Les origines de Geoctopus
Un besoin de Rio Tinto Alcan
6. Moteur cartographique Web basé sur les
technologies ouvertes
autres via WMS/WFS)
Serveur WMS/WFS avec accès sécurisé
pour partage vers d’autres utilisateurs

13. Pourquoi passer à la version 2.0 ?
1. Pour simplifier l’architecture actuelle de Geoctopus
3. Pour automatiser certains mécanismes afin de
donner plus de liberté aux clients
- At the core of the system is the GEOCTOPUS webmapping engine - The user accesses the system with a regular Web browser (IE, Firefox) - GEOCTOPUS is an integrator of data sources, making data from various servers available through a common user interface - makes use of interoperability standards from the Open Geospatial Consortium (WMS, WFS) to access data from remote sources/services - => data can be hosted and maintained by the owner (RTA, Nippour, Municipalities, Government ... even Google) and we just access it in real time - includes a Security and Access Control Layer: - controls who has access to which data resources (based on domains, users, roles) - controls which tools are available in the UI (navigation, query, edit, creation of features, etc.) - Access to data servers always goes through GEOCTOPUS proxy... and uses secured connection to the actual back-end services if required - User management can be local or delegated to an external service
