• This study will help language learners enrich
the vocabulary through suffix word strategy in
short-term period. Moreover, the influences

memory, it is worth investigating.

14. The definition of suffix word
• In linguistics, the suffix word means an affix
which is placed after the stem of a word.
• Common examples are case endings, which
indicate the grammatical case of nouns or
adjectives, and verb endings, which form the
conjugation of verbs.
• Suffix is called an affirmative, as they can
alter the form of the words to which they are
fixed.
