The FAST Plan: Financially Achievable, Saves Time
An international team of rapid transit experts teamed with local planners to study our
region’s movement patterns and needs. Using the market-driven principles of saving
time and money, increasing the connectivity of the network, and improving cus-
tomer experience, the FAST Plan concept is an innovative localized approach to re-
ducing emissions and improving the use of public transit.
Move San Diego Executive Director, Elyse Lowe will share insights on the possibilities
for the future of public transit in our region.
Undress for Success: The Naked Truth About Working from Home
Tele-work could reduce greenhouse gases by 80 million tons per year, cut Gulf Oil im-
ports by almost 60%, and save the U.S. over $3 billion in highway repairs, all while im-
proving worker productivity and morale. Yet only 4% of those who could work from
home today do so, according to Kate Lister, Carlsbad, CA researcher and co-author
of Undress for Success: The Naked Truth About Working from Home.
Ms. Lister’s findings from interviews with dozens of Tele-work advocates and challeng-
ers offer a fascinating look at this important greenhouse gas emissions reduction and
business strategy.
