In 2010, 257 tonnes of sucralose were consumed in China, mainly in the food and beverage industry. In the food industry, sucralose was primarily used in seasonings, while in beverages it was majorly consumed in milk, carbonated, and juice beverages. Sucralose consumption was also estimated at 7 tonnes in other industries such as wine, personal care, and pharmaceuticals. Chinese sucralose consumption was still limited in 2010, with most production exported abroad.
