In 2010, 257 tonnes of sucralose were consumed in China, mainly in the food and beverage industry. In the food industry, sucralose was primarily used in seasonings, while in beverages it was majorly consumed in milk, carbonated, and juice beverages. Sucralose consumption was also estimated at 7 tonnes in other industries such as wine, personal care, and pharmaceuticals. Chinese sucralose consumption was still limited in 2010, with most production exported abroad.

1. Consumption Data of Sucralose in China
Generally speaking, Chinese sucralose consumption is still limited by now, and most of
domestic sucralose is mainly exported to other countries. In 2010, 257 tonnes of sucralose is
consumed in China, mainly in food and beverage industry. In food industry, sucralose is mainly
consumed in seasoning. In beverage industry, milk beverage, carbonated beverage and juice
beverage are the major three consumption fields. Moreover, sucralose can also be used in
pharmaceutical and other industries such as wine

Sucralose can also be used in other industries such as wine, personal care products and so on,
with total consumption volume estimated at about 7 tonnes in 2010.
In wine industry, sucralose is mainly used in cooking wine, still the application field is rather
limited. In personal care products industry, a little sucralose will be added to high-class lipstick.
