Embedded Hardware Design/Firmware Engineer – Full Time while in School
Project Manager for a wireless vehicle interface, including assigning tasks, managing
workflow, and oversaw of the work of a team of five hardware and software engineers
Designed economy PC based automotive diagnostic peripheral devices and supporting
software applications all of which were to SAE Automotive Standards
Tasks included concept development, design of high level system architecture, schematic
design, component selection, PCB layout & enclosure design, functional and test firmware,
along with a supporting software application to allow configuration and maintenance of the
device once in production
Developed embedded firmware for a vehicle telematics device that communicated over a
GSM network, this design including Accelerometer, GPS, GSM, RTC, off-board memory,
and vehicle protocol interfacing
