to the transitions between opinions and
supporting details.
 Today, you are going to pay attention to the
transitions in your drafts.
 Transition words and phrases are words
that link ideas and show the relationship
between ideas

There are different types of
transition words that we use for
different purposes.
Let’s take a look at Lupita’s letter
to see what transition words she
used.
Ex. Therefore is a transition word
that shows the consequence or
affect of doing something.
Currently is another transition word
that is used to order an idea
according to time.
