This process begins with a drawing or sketch. The reverse image is then meticulously carved onto a wooden block. After the block has been crafted to the artist’s liking, it is rolled with ink. Each color must be carefully placed and layered. Paper is firmly placed onto the inked block. Image is then transferred once pressure is applied.
