The Canning Research Institute in Plovdiv, Bulgaria conducts research to improve food quality, safety, and develop added value food products through various technologies and analysis methods. The Institute has over 50 staff members including 20 researchers and focuses its work on topics like food processing, safety, sensory analysis, microbiology, and food texture. It also operates various laboratories and sensory facilities and has partnerships with private food companies and universities.
