Indigo Juice is a “Made in Candiani” Dyeing Technology that we apply to 100% Indigo shades.
Thanks to this technology we keep the indigo very superficial on the yarn (without worsening
the crocking) when we are dyeing the warp. This means that once the jeans are going to be
washed in the laundry it takes only a small amount of water and energy to wash-down the
indigo achieving great contrasts and designs.
Indigo Juice dyed fabrics are studied for top performance with sustainable laundry treatments
such as Laser, Ozone, Ice.
This dyeing technology allows to achieve a relevant increase in sustainability throughout all
levels of the production process.

SUSTAINABLE
N-Denim, the "N"stands for Nitrogen, is a very futuristic “Made in Candiani” Dyeing Technology
that we have recently developed and patented.
Nitrogen delays the oxidation process and accelerates the penetration of Indigo into the yarns.
The result is a very deep and higly fixed dye, ideal to make “no-fade” denim garments.
This system allows us to reduce the number of indigo baths and therefore save up to 33% of
water and 50% of chemicals. The cut down on water and chemicals grants us a cleaner and
more eco-friendly dye and proves how Candiani matches Innovation and Sustainability.

5. This in-house developed technology is the beating heart of Candiani's Premium Stretch.
It consists in a special combinationof a spinning and a finishing technique that confers superior
performance and a premium look and hand-feel to the fabric.
The main characteristics are:
1. We spin a great elasticity performance weft containing LYCRA® DualFX
2. We blend the T400 polyester and the Lycra elastomer together using a secret mixing
technique and then we spin them into the cotton yarn
2. From Comfort Stretch to Power Stretch the weft can reach up to 75% elasticity
3. Through a special finishing technique we achieve highest recovery and lowest growth

6. Based on our SLING technology the SHAPER kicks this tech up a notch enhancing the techni-
cal, optical and tactile aspects of Candiani's Premium Stretch Denim.
It results from the combination between a special Spinning process and an alternative
Finishing Technology and applies to 5 different levels of performance:

Shaper1 - Elasticity 35%
Shaper2 - Elasticity 45%
Shaper3 - Elasticity 60%

The main characteristics are:
1. Technical improvement: 50% reduction of the weft-shrinkage allows great improvements
during the garment manufacturing process.
2. Optical Improvement: Allows to create open weave constructions even on super stretch
fabrics keeping the twill-line pronounced for an authentic denim look.
3. Tactile Improvement: an alternative Finishing process enhances the hand feel conferring a
naturally soft touch to the fabric.
Super stretch fabrics can now be worn by MAN as well. This Stretch Technology applies
perfectly to regular fits allowing finally Men to enjoy the comfort of a super stretch.

7. With SHAPER 0 we achieved an unheard-of result: Growth reduction to the very minimum.
The performance ranges from 16% - 20% Elasticity and the main characteristics are true to the
Shaper family:
1. Technical improvement: 50% reduction of the weft-shrinkage allows great improvements
during the garment manufacturing process.
2. Optical Improvement: Allows to create open weave constructions even on super stretch

know-how to the extent that many technologies and work management principles have

2) Responsible sourcing
Our aim in responsible sourcing is to ensure that suppliers work according to the same princi-
ples and values that we do.
This means consumers can trust the way our materials are sourced before manufacturing
begins.
We do source organic cotton following our clients' demand but we spontaneously decided to
embrace Better Cotton Initiative. More than 25% of the overall cotton we process is sourced
from Better Cotton Initiative which means that every single quality we produce contains 25% of
BCI cotton.

Candiani constantly develops and patents new technologies for each production department

- with the N-Denim system we save Water and Chemicals in-house while we dye the fabrics
- with the Indigo Juice we allow the laundries to save water and energy while they treat the

9. N-Denim vs Indigo Juice
The N-Denim is a very futuristic Nitrogen dyeing technology that we have recently developed
and patented.
Nitrogen delays the oxidation process and accelerates the penetration of Indigo into the yarns.
This system allows us to dye our denim saving up to 33% of water and 50% of chemicals
avoiding hydro sulfites and fixation agents.
The cut down on water and chemicals grants us a cleaner and more eco-friendly dye and
proves how Candiani matches Innovation and Sustainability.
Another water saving dyeing technology Candiani has developed internally is the Indigo Juice.
Contrary to the N-Denim here we achieve the opposite; we keep the indigo very superficial on
the yarn (without worsening the crocking).
This means that once the jeans are going to be washed in the laundry it takes only a small

4) Waste Management
At Candiani we view recycling as a key part of our product lifecycle management and are
committed to the principles of Reduce, Re-use and Recycle.
We believe limiting waste as much as possible is absolutely necessary to safeguard the envi-
ronment. Therefore we collect and recycle our own waste of yarns from the spinning, warping
and dyeing departments and create recycled yarns that confer a beautiful new look and feel to
the fabrics of our recycled range.
5) Workers are our priority

All 650 employees come from Robecchetto and its neighboring towns and know that they are

10. Candy Fibers are all those fabrics that contain a blend of different fibers. We spin the yarns
blending Cotton fibers together with artificial fibers such as Tencel®. This special blend
creates unique ring characters and natural softness.

11. For our Organic cotton product family we only source 100% organic cotton, personally selected
by our experts, internally tested and certified.
The sourcing process is handled according to the rules and procedures of the ICEA, which has
granted Candiani the GOTS certificate.
If combined with one of our sustainable Dyeing Technologies, Indigo Juice or N-Denim, the
result is a fabric with superior sustainability.

The recycling process is handled according to the rules and procedures of the ICEA, which has
granted Candiani the GRS certificate.
Candiani developed a recycled fabrics range that shows a noteworthy characteristic: the blue
cast of the recycled yarns increases the authentic look and feel of the fabric.
