BlockBuster was a large video rental store chain that was very popular in the late 20th century. It allowed customers to rent movies and video games to watch at home. However, with the rise of streaming services like Netflix in the early 2000s, BlockBuster was unable to adapt and eventually declared bankruptcy in 2010 as in-home entertainment shifted to digital formats.
