1. Mise En Scene is such an important role
within music videos and for this reason we
have started to think about what the
protagonists are going to be wearing in the
music video.
As previously stated and looking at our
research we are using a lot of wind and
smoke to create a mysterious semantic
field to our video. The girl will be wearing
this dress from Zara to emulate this theme.
The dress is lace and is lightweight so the
wind will be able to create a beautiful lift
upon the dress.
It is a dimmed out nude colour which
replicates the natural setting around her
which will be the field.
She will have her hair down to emphasise
the theme. Her make up will be natural as
we want to disguise the stereotypical 'pop
star' look and focus on the fact that the
protagonist is portraying the role of a
everyday female going through the
struggles of a break up.
This outfit will be worn in the studio. The
black skinny jeans/leggins and black tube
top will emphasise the silhouette in front
of the lights. We wanted to deviate away
from 'big' 'flashy' clothing items as this
would distract the audience in to looking
at the wardrobe and not focusing on the
point of the protagonist expressing her
emotions.
