HPL Properties
For Durability, colour clarity and flexibility High Resistance to surface abrasion
Pressure Laminates (HPL)is produced by Resistance to boiling water
saturating multiple layers of Kraft paper with
phenolic resin. A layer of printed décor paper Resistance to dry heat
is placed on top of the Kraft paper before Resistance to impact
pressing. The resulting sandwich is fused Resistance to stress cracking
together under heat and pressure (more than Resistance to scratch
1,000 PSI). Because phenolic and melamine Resistance to discolouration
resins are thermoset plastics, the curing process
transforms the resin into plastic by a cross Resistance to colour change under artificial lighting
linking process that converts the paper sheets Resistance to cigarette burn
into a single, rigid laminated Resistance to steam
sheet. Thermosetting creates strong, irreversible Dimensional stability
bonds that contribute to HPL’s durability Post-formability

4. ABOUT INSTALLATION
HPL’S are always installed using Back/Rear Ventilated Systems or rain screen systems.
Back-ventilated facade is a complex, multi-layer structural solution that enables “dry” installation
of the covering elements, considering all the essential construction, hygrometric, static, safety and
aesthetic aspects of a building technology.
Ventilated type facade and wall coverings were developed to protect buildings against the
combined action of rain and wind by counterbalancing the effects of water beating on walls and
keeping the building dry, with high level aesthetic characteristics and undisputed advantages of
heat insulation and soundproofing.
It consists of external façade cladding, a sub-structure generally made of aluminium profiles,
anchored to the wall surface of the building, insulating material and an air gap between cladding
and insulating material.
21. Environment & Sustainability/ Warranty
We warranty the quality for 10 years of all mentioned products within the scope of the
values given in this delivery programme. However, we expressly not liable for defects in
the working or processing of the substructure or installation as we cannot control the
execution of these.
