Job Description<br />Duties and Functions as Chief Nurse<br />Carries full administrative  responsibility and authority for the entire nursing service of the hospital<br />Participates  in formulating />Laboratory procedure: take 12 lead ECG<br />Emotional support for patient<br />Communication – explain the concept of monitoring to  the patient to prevent complication and obtain cooperation<br />Record keeping – clearly indicate all variations of ECG or clinical condition in precise manner<br />Heart Clinic<br />Takes the 12 Lead ECG of admitted and out patients.<br />Interprets arrhythmias, 12 lead ECG and reports unusual findings to the physicians<br />Connects patients who come in for check up to the cardiac monitoring device, if cardiologist desires to have a 1 full minute rhythm strip<br />Takes and records vital signs of patients<br />Administer oxygen inhalation to patients who may develop lethal cardiac arrhythmias while ECG is being performed<br />Conducts patient’s  watchers class on CVD topics<br />Assists the Nurse Supervisor in the Treadmill / exercise test of outpatient:<br />Gets the consent of the patient / nearest relative before the procedure <br />Gathers baseline data of the patient<br />Takes and records the vital signs before, during, and after the exercise test.<br />Cases Handled:<br />Patients with:<br />Myocardial Infarction<br unusual findings to the physicians<br />Connects patients who come in for check up to the cardiac monitoring device, if cardiologist desires to have a 1 full minute rhythm strip<br />Takes and records vital signs of patients<br />Administer oxygen inhalation to patients who may develop lethal cardiac arrhythmias while ECG is being performed<br />Conducts patient’s watchers class on CVD topics<br />Assists the Nurse Supervisor in the Treadmill / exercise test of outpatient:<br />Gets the consent of the patient / nearest relative before the procedure <br />Gathers baseline data of the
