This achievement standard involves  investigating ideas   and methods  relating to art and art works in the  context of the drawing study in painting .  It also involves  using established drawing processes, procedures, materials and techniques   appropriate to ideas  and methods studied, and  using drawing to generate, analyse and clarify ideas . HOW ? Collect, research, assemble & collate information including subject, theme, pictorial issues, methods & techniques & artist references Use drawing to   think  on paper. Use  drawing as a   process  where ideas are systematically explored in a continuum. Clarify your  intentions . Process  all your collected information &  recombine  &  transform  to make original work Work beyond the artist models
Respond  to, analyse & make  decisions  about what  you have done ,[object Object],Evidence of the ability to  generate, analyse and clarify ideas   will be identified in a range of work within the selected field. This  may involve different processes, procedures, materials & techniques , all of which can be understood as  drawing .  In effect, being able to make  paintings is  dependent upon  recognizing & using  drawing  as a  thinking  &  working  process .
