6. Disasters
and
Fairytales
• From
1985-‐1989,
Sherman
was
not
the
sole
focus
of
her
artwork.
• These
images
are
more
grotesque
than
her
former
works,
and
oQen
used
un-‐idenCfiable
se`ngs,
as
well
as
oddly
coloured
lighCng
shades
of
blue,
green
and
red.

designed
to

Reference
Pictures
• In
1992,
Sherman
embarked
on
a
series
of
photographs
known
as
‘sex
pictures’,
where
she
was

absent
from
the
