of women who served in Vietnam. This survey will concern the physical and mental
health of female Vietnam veterans about in their 60’s, nearly 40 years after the war. The
survey will also concern how common PTSD and MST are among these vets.
Wiltsey-Stirman, Dr. Shannon. Personal interview. 29 Apr. 2010. More women are making up
the military as time progresses, and more women are reporting MST in the military.
Several women are still suffering from PTSD, too; however, there is treatment in the VA

noticed the high rates of reported traumatic experiences among women in the military,
and she noticed not much was being done to prevent and treat this. She then added the
