3. Treat your book like a friend.
Take care of it at ALL times.
Do not remove bar codes or spine labels from
the book.
4. Keep all food and drink, pencils, pens, and
crayons away from your book.
Remember to check hurt books into our Book
Hospital. If there is a torn page, bring it to us
to be fixed.
5. Return all books
when they are due.
Don’t share your library books with other
students, your pets, or baby brother/sister.
6. Use a shelf marker (spot saver) to
find the book you want to check out.
Locate the bar codes on the both the back cover of
the book, and the library barcode you were given.
Give the book and card to the media staff to check it
out under your name.
You have two weeks until it is due. You may renew a
book if you’re not finished before its due.
7. Check for damage you may have caused. If
you find any, show the media staff.
Return your book to the book drop.
Find a new book to enjoy!
8. Remember—you are responsible for the book
you have checked out. Look it over and bring
any concerns to the media staff before you
check it out.
If you damage a book, let us know.
Any book lost or damaged will require a fee
to replace the book.
10. LOVE your books,
HUG your books,
READ your books,
But DON’T FEED your books!!!
AND bring them back next week so you can
get a fun NEW BOOK!
