2. WhatdoesmeanAdventure?
Adventure means exciting or unusual experience; it may be uncertain
outcome from risk taken or boldness show in any activity. It gives thrill, a
pleasure which is not measurable in terms of exuberance and unleashes
joy.
It breaks the initial phobia and test of one’s physical endurance against
the odds face during experience or exposure of any adventure activity.
Skydiving, bungee jumping, River Rafting, mountain climbing etc. rough
terrain race, paragliding ,surfing etc. are few well know adventure
activities which are close to nature and indirectly relates with area’s
biodiversity or ecosystem or in broader sense environment
3. RiverRaftingorWhitewaterRafting
Rafting or white water rafting is the challenging recreational outdoor activity of
using an inflatable raft to navigate a river or other bodies of water. This is often
done on white water or different degrees of rough water, in order to thrill and
excite the raft passengers. The development of this activity as a leisure sport
has become popular since the mid-1970s, evolving from individuals paddling 10
feet (3.0 m) rafts with double-bladed paddles to multi-person rafts propelled by
single-bladed paddles and steered by a tour guide at the stern. It is considered
an extreme sport, and can be fatal.

River Water Grade
Grade 1 : Easy, small waves. No obstacles.
Grade 2 : Moderate difficulty with clear passages.
Grade 3 : Difficult, high irregular waves, narrow passages require precise
manoeuvrings.
Grade 4 : Difficult, powerful waves. Very precise manoeuvrings required.
Grade 5 : Extremely difficult, violent, highly congested. Water Grade 2/3 in
Brahmpuri, Shivpuri Water Grade 2/3 Plus, Marine Drive 3/4 Plus and Kaudiyala 4
Plus.
7. Manali
Rafting season in Manali keeps running all year round except monsoons and
extreme winters, as water levels get down. During summer season, the
melting snow on Himalayas fill the Beas river with enough water and also
provide them high speed that is suitable for taking up the white water river
rafting expedition in Kullu Manali.

8. Skydiving or Parachuting
Parachuting, or skydiving, is the action sport of exiting an aircraft and returning to
Earth with the aid of gravity, then slowing down during the last part of the descent
by using a parachute. It may or may not involve a certain amount of free-fall, a time
during which the parachute has not been deployed and the body gradually
accelerates to terminal velocity.
A typical sport parachuting jump involves individuals exiting an aircraft (usually an
airplane, but sometimes a helicopter or even the gondola of a balloon, at anywhere
from 1,000 to 4,000 meters (3,000 to 13,000 feet) altitude. If jumping from a low
altitude, the parachute is usually deployed immediately; however, at higher
altitudes, the skydiver may free-fall for up to ~1 minute deploying their main
parachute, typically at an altitude of 1000m (~3,500 ft), and landing several minutes
later.
9. Types of Skydiving
1.Static Line :In parachut from which the parachutist jumps. After Existing out the
aircraft, this short line pulls the parachute deployment bag from its container. After that,
the parachute deploys. The static line separates from the parachute, and remains in tow
behind the aircraft. It is subsequently ing, a static line is a cord connecting the
deployment bag of the parachute to the aircraft pulled in and stowed away by the
Jumpmaster. Static lines are used in order to make sure that a parachute is deployed
immediately after leaving the plane, regardless of any actions taken by the parachutist,
however the parachutist must adopt and maintain a suitable body position throughout
deployment to minimise the chances of a parachute malfunction, and twists.
2. Tandem : Tandem skydiving refers to a type of skydiving where a novice skydiver,
student or passenger is connected with a harness passenger to an experienced
skydiver,Tandem Master or tandem Instructor. The instructor controls the whole jump
from exit through free fall, opening the parachute, piloting the canopy, and landing. The
student needs only little instructions and briefing before making a Tandem Skydive.
3. Accelerated Free Fall : Accelerated Freefall (AFF) : is also a method of skydiving
training. It has replaced static line progression as the most common method of training
skydivers. Two or more instructors assist the student during free fall and deployment of
the parachute.

adventurists.
11. BUNGEE JUMPING
Bungee jumping ; also spelt "Bungy" jumping is an activity that involves jumping
from a tall structure while connected to a large elastic cord. The tall structure is
usually a fixed object, such as a building, bridge or crane; but it is also possible
to jump from a movable object, such as a hot-air-balloon or helicopter, that has
the ability to hover above the ground. The thrill comes from the free-falling and
the rebound. When the person jumps, the cord stretches and the jumper flies
upwards again as the cord recoils, and continues to oscillate up and down until
all the kinetic energy is dissipated.
12. Mount Climbing
Mountaineering or mountain climbing is
the sport, hobby or profession of hiking skiing
and climbing mountains. While mountaineering began as
attempts to reach the highest point of unclimbed big mountains
it has branched into specializations that address different aspects
of the mountain and consists of three areas: rock-craft, snow-
craft and skiing, depending on whether the route chosen is
over rock, snow or ice. All require experience, athletic ability, and
technical knowledge to maintain safety.
