Founded in 1928 by Henri Essers, the family owned Belgian company H.Essers has
grown into one of the main supply chain providers in Europe, offering added value for
industries such as chemicals, pharmaceuticals / healthcare and high value products.
Over the last ten years, H.Essers has undergone significant expansion through strong
organic growth and a number of strategic acquisitions. In 2014, the company
recorded a turnover of € 442 million euros.

3. Today, the company is active throughout EMEA & CEE.
It operates 39 own branches and 5 on premise contracts across 11 EU and
CEE countries, 1.250 trucks, 2.700 trailers, a total storage area of 925.000m²
and 4.200 employees.
H.Essers is an asset based company: it owns its fleet, warehouses and IT
systems. This allows it to retain optimal control over all strategic processes.
The company’s family character ensures short decision-making processes,
enabling agility to changing customer requirements and shifting situations
on the international market.
