My first real connection with Turing was when Bletchley Park asked me to talk about the Gordon Brown apology on BBC Breakfast Time in 2009
My next involvement was when he Turing papers came on sale in November 2010. I blogged about it http://drblack.posterous.com/turing-papers-saved-for-bletchley-park. Many thanks to Google for giving a fabulous $100k towards the purchase
2011 the Turing papers were saved for Bletchley Park due to great teamwork led by Simon Greenish former Bletchley Park CEO. Yay!
Google garden party at Bletchley Park 2011 http://googleblog.blogspot.co.uk/2011/08/restoring-bletchley-park-birthplace-of.html It was great to go and see the papers with Simon Meacham who worked hard with Megan Smith from Google and others to help Bletchey Park buy the Turing papers
