Project goals:
• Build skills, confidence, enthusiasm to initiate & implement a successful
advocacy effort
• Inform and fuel immediate and ongoing efforts to increase library
funding
• Participants create an advocacy plan they can implement to meet their
grant required match

speaker
12 interactive work sessions, with specific learning outcomes
Encouraged participants to come in teams of up to 3 people,
and create advocacy messages that would resonate with their
community
At the start of the conference, 50.5% did not feel prepared to
implement an advocacy project for their library
16. 98.5% of participants reported being excited about doing
advocacy work in support of their library
99.5% believe they can influence their community to support
their library
98.6% were more confident in their abilities to advocate on
behalf of their library

measured themselves higher on all measures of skills &
