1. Feed system of the knitting machine
There are two types of feed system in knitting m/c:
1. Positive Feed System
2. Negative Feed System
Positive Feed System:
Positive feed system is a knitted loop-shape and loop-length control device which
employs small pulleys moved by belts, or gears etc., to exactly control the yarn
feeding speed and keep it constant.

In positive feed system,some yarns from the cones ar stored in the feed device that
helps to join the yarn in case of yarn break down.

2. Negetive Feed System:
Negative feed system is a knitted loop-shape and loop-length control device as a
yarn guide which employs direct drive by yarn tension. In negative feed device,
yarn is not wrapped.

Conlusion:
Our lab’s machine has positive feed system.
