1. Question 4. How did you use media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages?

2. Internet For the research and planning of the documentary me and my group used the internet to get ideas of what to do and what to use. We firstly looked at how many people buy biscuits roughly in a year, month and week, we then looked at different companies that are well known for buying biscuits and which biscuits they sell the least and the most. We also used the internet to find facts and figures that we could include in the voiceover for the documentary and also found questions that we could ask the public in our questionnaire and for our vox pops. I also used the internet to find documentaries to analyse for the blog, the documentaries I analysed were on 4od and you tube. Another thing I used on the internet was hotmail, I used this to get in touch with professional chefs to see if they would have an interview with us.

3. Word and Excel We used word for many things which included the questionnaire, formal proposal and the running order. I also used word to right out basic things which was then transferred onto blogger.com. After giving people the questionnaire and filling them out we used excel to turn the answers and figures into graphs.

4. Camera and tripod Me and my group used the camera to film all the footage we needed for the documentary, we firstly filmed the vox pops and the cutaways, after filming all of these we then got the cutaway shots we needed. We used the tripod to hold the camera at the height we needed and to also make the footage still and not shake. This part of the tripod is were you attach the camera to. This part of the tripod we used to higher the camera so it would be the height we needed it to be. We also used this part of the tripod to higher the camera.

5. Mobile Phone Whilst filming the vox pops and editing the documentary on adobe premiere I took images on my mobile phone to show how we filmed them. 6. Adobe Premiere After capturing all of our footage we used adobe premiere to capture them all and to start editing. In the box above here we got all of our footage from which we then used to cut down. We used this tool to select the part of footage we wanted. We used this to playback and pause the documentary when we wanted to watch it through. This part of the programme we placed the cut versions of the video footage. On this part of the programme we placed the cut versions of the sound footage. We used this box to get effects we needed to place on our footage.

7. Adobe Photoshop Me and my group used Photoshop to create a print advert to advertise our documentary. We used this tool to select around the main biscuits that we wanted. I used the contrast and brightness tool to make the biscuits seem more textured and detailed. We used this text tool to write what time and what day our show was going to air.

8. PowerPoint For question 4 I used PowerPoint to explain the different media technologies we used. On each slide I explained one of the technologies we used for the documentary.
