2. Sony’s History In late 1945 Masaru Ibuka opened up a radio shop in a rundown department building in Nihonbashi, Tokyo, he was joined by his colleague Akio Morita. Those two invented a company called “Tokyo Tsushin Kogyo K.K.” This company made the first tape recorder called Type – G. In 1950, Masaru went to the U.S. to sign the first transistor to the Japan. Japan represented the transistor to the world, it became very popular.(The U.S. was the first to invent the transistor but it was not commercially successful.
3. Sony’s History 2 In 1955 Sony made its own commercially produced transistor radio called the TR-55. In the same year they created the Sony TR-72. Countries around the globe were interested in this device. After making six transistors, the TR- 72 had better sound quality and was a big hit in the early sixties.

7. Why We focused on Sony because we were curious of Sony’s origin, how did it get so popular and how it’s advancing so fast. We think Sony is very interesting because, they have a different variety of games and accessories (ex. the playstation move, Bluetooth , blue ray remote, and the sharp shooter).
