SLIDESHOW TIPS
1 - Watch some great slideshows before you make your own. Click here.
2- A slideshow is about demonstrating, so use plenty of visuals. Pictures, video, and graphs are a
few ways to bring your slideshow to life.
3- Every slide must have a visual or two! Make sure pictures are HIGH QUALITY!
4- Time your slides to your audio. Record your audio and then set the time setting to flow with
what you are saying. You can record your audio using AUDACITY. Click here for the manual.
5- Record your audio in a quiet place. A place where there is ABSOLUTELY NO NOISE !
6- Stick to 20 seconds or less per slide. Too much time on one slide will bore the audience.
7- Do not cram information on slides. If you have a lot to say about one particular topic, spread it
over a few slides.
8- Only use bullet points - no complete sentences unless it is a definition or a quote.
9- Have an intro and conclusion slide, so the audience knows where your slideshow begins and
ends.
10 - Break the rules! Use navigation techniques to make your slideshow an interactive
experience. In other words, let the audience interact with your slideshow.
11 - Send the link to your final slideshow to mrdaley@mrdaley.com
