A charter school is a community school. Its your school. Its our school. So take a minute and think about what is important to you. What do you want to your child’s school to provide? Here are some things that might be important to you. And here some items that we’ve thought are important. This is our charter school. It’s the communities. Having said that, we’ve put a lot of thought into what we think a charter school should look like and what the focus should be. So let us tell you what we’ve come up with. We are asking for your input and involvement so this is not set in stone, we will refine and develop this as needed. We have some good ideas but we aren’t so deluded that we think our ideas are the only way to go.
Charter schools have proven success with these programs
Lori and I attended a charter school conference last week. We attended a dozen or so sessions on how to start and run a charter school. The Colorado league and CDE are very willing to reach out. I met with the district last Monday and discussed how we can work together and what they want to see from us. Before we went public, we met with the principal here in Roxborough We’ve been talking with educators and teachers.
