Commonly known as E. coli, this is a gram-negative,
rod-shaped bacterium and is found in many warm
blooded animals intestines. While most strains are
harmless, some can cause serious food poisoning.

                                                      Bacteria
C. Perfringens Is a Gram-positive, rod-shaped,
anaerobic, spore-forming bacterium that can be found
in animals intestines and is the third most common
cause of food poisoning in the United States.

                                                   Bacteri
                                                   a
 A species of bacteria which is commonly
referred to as anthrax. A deadly disease that
has been used in biological warfare.

                                                    Bacteria
S. enterica rod-shaped flagellated, facultative
anaerobic, Gram-negative bacterium that often
causes a type of food poisoning in individuals
by infecting food.

                                             Bacteria
B. burgdorferi is a gram negative species of
bacteria that is the agent of Lyme disease. A
very common disease in North America and
Europe that is carried by ticks.

                                                Bacteria
A. tumefaciens is a gram negative soil bacterium
which is the causal agent in Crown Gall disease
in dicots as well as a serious pathogen in many
legumes.

                                             Bacteria
A gram positive bacterium that is found in soil
or the intestinal tract of animals. It is the major
causing agent of the notorius and deadly
disease Tetanus.

                                                 Bacteria
C. trachomatis is a human pathogen that is gram
negative and the most common cause of
blindness in the world and causes the most
common sexually transmitted disease in the
United States.

                                             Bacteri
                                             a
This is a species of Spirochetes that is a
notorious pathogenic parasite and causes
syphilis.

                                             Bacteri
                                             a
A gram positive species of bacteria that is a
major cause of Pneumonia as well as several
other diseases.

                                                Bacteri
                                                a
A species of bacteria that creates several toxins,
most commonly neurotoxins, and is the major
agent in botox and botulism.

                                               Bacteria
A form of lactic acid bacteria that can be found
in many places but most commonly fermented
foods. It is also one of the most common causes
of beer spoilage.

                                         Bacteria
M. Jannischii is a methanogen in the domain
Archaea. It lives in the aquatic environments in
temperatures between 50 and 86 degrees
  celsius.

                                         Archaea
 H. salinarium is an extremophile that must live
in extremely high levels of NaCl. It is a
    Halobacterium in the Domain Archaea.

                                             Archaea
This is an extreme thermophile that is known to
live in acid springs and soil in temperatures
between 60 and 96 degrees celsius.
