Holocaust Project
“You see, to understand history, to love
history, to appreciate all its meaning and
nuances, we must see into it. We must
look into history through our own mind’s
eye.”
4. What does it look like?
•
Students read and get an understanding of the history of
the Holocaust of 1939-1945 (Teachers Choice)
• They read the book, “Diary of a Young Girl-Anne Frank”
5. What does it look like?
• Students get orientation to the Islands of Enlightenment-
Virtual Environment
• Students get a historically clad avatar
• They teleport into the digital recreation of the Streets of
Amsterdam where the Annex was located.
6. What does it look like?
•
Multi-subject
Students do 10 Common Core-
assignments
• Final Project is to make an exhibit in the Digital
Holocaust Museum
10. • Teachers will assign medieval roles to students
• Students will interact with each other in their roles
to try and get enough information to determine
who the Heir of the King is.
• Students will create a diary of their experiences.
