Learn how State Farm is engaging the public with its message to “Join the Conversation.” With established social media initiatives using Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Flickr, State Farm is encouraging the public to read, hear and participate in its latest conversations with customers and communities. Attendees will hear about some of State Farm’s best practices in social media and lessons learned throughout the process. Matt Edwards is the Social Media Analyst in Public Affairs in charge of State Farm’s Twitter account where he monitors communications for reputation and customer issues. He works with State Farm’s marketing teams to look for opportunities to leverage social media to gain more exposure for events and open up dialog with customers and potential customers.
