1. ATHENA GODDESS OF
WISDOM

was born in the ancient city of
Alipheira. When she was pregnant he
swallowed their child. In order to
protect his kingdom. Nine months

a strong pain. He asked Hephaestus
to stop the pain. He obeyed and open
Zeus‟s head, out sprung Athena. She
was already a grownup a was wearing
armor with a shield in her hand and
screaming war like cries.
2. Zeus instantly made her his favorite. Athena‟s
tree is the Olive and the sacred animal is the
Owl. Athena and Poseidon one day went
down to earth. There was a city and they both
wanted to claim it, so they had a contest, to
see who could give the city something useful.
The god who won got to name the city.
Poseidon struck his trident at the earth and a
well with water came out of nowhere but it
was salty they said „This water is salty! We
can not use it. Athena struck her spear into
the earth and a Olive tree came out. The
people named the city Athens. Poseidon got
really mad and cursed the land. So it had less
water. From now on it has problems with
water shortage.
3. Once there was a young girl Arachne. Arachne was a
weaver. She was so good that nymphs and mortals
watch her do her work. Now she boasted that she
taught it to herself. One day she went to far and said
that she could compete with Athena and win. When
Athena heard this she was angry. She transformed in
to an old lady and went to Arachne‟s home. She said
that she should not compete with a goddess and
should forgive Athena. Arachne said “I do not need
your words of what you call advice. I know I am the
best. If Athena dares she should come and compete!”
Then Athena sprung up and turned in to her self.
Every one was awed, but Arachne. Then they had the
contest. When they had finished they gave it to the
others who laughed and said “As all ways Arachne
you…” “Let me see. Now!” said Athena, and went to
see Arachne‟s work of art. Arachne had made fun of
the gods.
4. Athena was outraged when
saw it. She screamed “You
may be foolish but you can
not dishonor a god or
goddess!” With that she
turned her into a spider. The
others screamed in fright and
ran.

lived with three of her siblings Vysssa
her cousin, Agron her uncle, and her
father Eumelus in the island of Kos.
They were the most known family.
For they dishonored the gods and
goddess. One day Hermes, Artemis
and Athena came and punished
them. Meropis got turned into owl.
Vyssa a seagull. Agron another bird.
