Migration is a centuries old process where people re-locate from one
country to another in the hope of better livelihood opportunities and
economic prosperity not only for themselves alone but for their family
members.
Migrants generally select a country for immigration on the basis of their
economy and the benefits they offer to them and whether they will be
treated with respect and dignity. When one thinks of migrating, the
names of many nations come in the mind of the prospective
immigrants. But the two names that continuously play a tug of war in
the mind is Canada and Australia.
3. Canada or Australia--which is better for migrants?
The question is rather difficult to answer. First and foremost, both the nations
are hot immigration destinations and have their own specific set of advantages
along with few disadvantages. Both the Maple Leaf Country and Down Under
have a strong economy, both the countries share the rich history and are quite
popular among migrants. While the Maple Leaf Country is often referred to as a
‘Paradise for Migrants’, the Land of Kangaroos is regarded as a ‘Country Built
by Migrants’.
The two countries share lot many similarities, such as high standard of living,
strong economy, quality lifestyle, social benefits, and migrants are regarded as
added asset and not as a national burden with zero tolerance policy towards
racial discrimination.
4. Now let’s take a look at some of the key factors that make the
two countries stand apart!
Geographically, Canada is located in North America and it
shares its boundaries with super powers like the US and the UK.
Thus, it provides an easy opportunity to travel to these nations
easily that too at a low cost. It is bilingual and ethnically
diverse.
5. It has two national languages and is the only country that has French
as its second national language. Almost every of its province is
independent and has a strong economy, the cost of living is
comparatively low and the opportunities for qualified skilled workers
are endless.
On the other hand, the ‘Land of Kangaroos’, shares its borders with
countries like New Zealand, Indonesia and Vanuatu. It has the 12th
largest economy and is one of the wealthiest countries in the world. It
offers better space for foreign trained skilled professionals. The cost
of living is bit high but the benefits enjoyed by the migrants are
unparallel.

A large number of Asians prefer to migrate to Canada but that
does not mean Australia is not a good option. Bothe the
countries have their own set of advantages and disadvantages
and each candidate has a different outlook based on their
particular needs and qualifications.
7. Summing-up, it is difficult to answer Canada or Australia--which
is better for migrants. Therefore, it is highly recommendable that
prospective immigrants consult an immigration expert and discuss
their possibilities of migrating to either of the countries and
whether they stand a chance to prosper in that respective nation.
