Popularized the “snapshot.” A study of the history of photography is invaluable as an archivist; I would argue it is an important part of modern history of fixed communication, which is after all what we as archivists preserve. History of photography is one of rapid technological change, driven by economics, toward cheaper, more copies, and easier.
