Add as much value to the user as possible.
Users are lazy. if you make them jump through they will leave with a bade taste in their mouth.
Ever seen a deer caught in headlights? Too complexe an interface and users don't know what to do.
I'm an experienced user and I feel like a deer in headlights.
You app will be easier to maintain, easier to develop and cheaper.
