7. Cities and States Sudan is a FEDERAL country divided into 25 states. Khartoum is the capital and Port Sudan is seaport city on the read sea.

8. Major Rivers and Lakes The White Nile coming from lake VICTORIA,UGANDA, joins the Blue Nile which is coming from lake TANA, Ethiopia at Khartoum confluence.

11. Traditional Arts and crafts Many crafts are available in Sudan's souks (markets). Strings of heavy beads often include antique trading beads made from colored glass.
