- CASE HAS A LONG AND RICH HISTORY BEGINNING IN 1842 WITH THE FOUNDING OF THE COMPANY BY JEROME INCREASE CASE. UP TO 1957 CASE BUILT SOME CONSTRUCTION RELATED EQUIPMENT WITH HORSE DRAWN ROAD GRADERS AND MODIFIED FARM TRACTORS MADE TO DO BUILDING WORK. THE REAL CHANGE CAME IN 1957 WHEN CASE WAS THE FIRST TO OFFER A TRACTOR LOADER BACKHOE DESIGNED, MANUFACTURED, SOLD AND WARANTIED BY A SINGLE COMPANY. IN FACT THIS YEAR WE ARE CELEBRATING 50 YEARS OF LOADER BACKHOE LEADERSHIP WITH SPECIAL EVENTS ARPOUND THE WORLD. ALSO IN 1957 CASE ENTERED THE DOZER MARKET WHEN WE ACQUIRED THE AMERICAN TRACTOR COMPANY. MANY DEVELOPMENTS WERE MADE THROUGH THE YEARS.
