We use the passive voice when:
- We don´t know the person who realized the
action.
- We want to give more importance what
happened to who performed the action.

verb in passive voice. You must use te verb TO
BE. The structure: TO BE + P.P.
The verb TO BE will be in the some verbal
tense that the main verb i the active voice.

VERBS
Present simple:
-Active: Farmers grow food.
-Passive: Food is grown by farmers.
Present continuous:
-Active: They are making a film.

Present perfect:
-Active: Scientists have discovered a new planet.
-Passive: A new planet has been discovered by scientists .
8. Past simple:
-Active: The police arrested him.
-Passive: He was arrested by the police.
Past continuous:
-Active: They were planning the next party.
-Passive: The next party was being planned.
Past perfect:
-Active: Someone had stolen my car.
-Passive: My car had been stolen.
9. Future with will:
-Active: They will finish the report next week.
-Passive: These trainers can be washed.
Modal:
-Active: You can wash these trainers.
-Passive: These trainers can be washed.
