EXPERIENCE

I was employed as a project runner to work on Grade 1 Listed Building in Belgrave Square, worth £20m. The
project is due to be completed in December 2016.
ARCHITECT from 05.2011 – 07.2014 full-time position

This is an award-winning London based multidisciplinary practice. Bptw works mainly with leading developers,
housing associations and local authorities within residential sector and has in its portfolio a number of high-
profile large scale residential developments across London. I am involved in most aspects of an architectural
role.
Projects I worked on include:
-Edmund Street: Post contract stage. This is the development I am working on currently. The project is on site
presently and it is a design & build scheme for Notting Hill Housing Association and Ardmore Construction Ltd.
It comprises 300 mixed use residential units and is worth more than £35 million. I regularly attend site
meetings. I have prepared large part of the details and plans.
-Ivydale Road: Post contract stage. The project has just recently been completed. It comprises 14 residential
mixed use units. I have prepared almost 100% of working drawings as well as planning drawings. Although I
have not been a lead architect on this job - I was responsible for most of the tasks involved in the project e.g.
site visits, design team meetings, liaison with tradesmen etc. Clients were Family Mosaic HA and Kind & Co.
-Wallis Road: Planning stage. Modern development consisting of 4 new terraced houses and 1 new block of 10
maisonettes. One of a number of small sites for infill housing our company has worked on. Client was Ealing
Council.
-Carlyle Rd: Planning stage. Mixed use development consisting of 14 mixed use residential units (1 block of
flats and two semi-detached houses). I have prepared planning submission for this project and performed 90 %
of the tasks involved. The project received planning permission last year. Client was Ealing Council.
-Epsom Close: Planning stage. Small, mixed use residential project for which I received planning permission
last year. Modern development consisting of 4 new terraced houses. I have prepared planning submission for
this project and performed 90 % of the tasks involved. Client was Ealing Council.
I have also recently received a function of an office AutoCad coordinator.

ARCHITECT’S ASSISTANT from 09.2006 – 05.2011 full-time position

This was the largest architectural firm in Gravesend. I was employed as an architect’s assistant and involved in
every aspect of an architectural role apart from preparing quotations for architectural services. I was frequently
responsible for the design and management of complete projects from inception to supervision on site, with
little involvement of project architect. DAC Architects worked mainly on residential projects for major housing
associations from Kent and London such as Hyde Housing Association, Orbit Housing Association, Town &
Country Housing Association and London and Quadrant Housing Association but also commercial and retail
projects for Sir Alan Sugar and Billings Group, masterplanning schemes such as Rochester Airport or large
housing developments, healthcare and conservation projects such as Halliwell Nursing Home or Royal Terrace
Pier in Gravesend.

ARCHITECT/DESIGNER from 10.2005 - 4.2006 full-time position

This was a very busy property company which helped clients find the right accommodation for their churches,
acquire planning permission allowing them to convert office or warehouse premises into a place for worship,
deal with building law issues and finally offered design and building services. I was the only employee with
architectural background and therefore I was responsible for every aspect of the design service. My role was to
survey the premises, produce existing drawings in AutoCAD 2004 LT, prepare a design mainly of an interior but
also of the elevations with various options for the client, compile quotations, order materials and in the end
supervise the building works. I was involved in the design of 17 different places of worship in North and South
London and one Cash and Carry store. My cooperation with this company ended in April due to major, more
than monthly, delays in payments for my work.

ARCHITECT’S ASSISTANT from 03.2005 - 08.2005
initially freelance, home-based, finally permanent position at the office
Metopa s.c., Lodz
I was responsible for amending survey drawings, converting older survey plans into digital versions, producing
working drawings, proposing my own planning solutions, preparing details for structural engineer. The
company worked mainly on large industrial and commercial projects such as building superstores, petrol
stations of major national and international concerns and middle-size plants.
I was involved in the design of the following projects:
- large superstore with building materials “Platform” for French company “Saint Gobain” and German “Praktiker”
/each company has at least one superstore in London/ in Warsaw.
- petrol station for one of the largest polish petrol concerns - “Lotos” in Warsaw.
- petrol station for another major petrol concern - “Orlen-Statoil” in Warsaw.
- alternations of small farm hotel for a private investor.
- alternations of supermarket “Stokrotka” in Rzgow.
- alternations of “Aral-BP” stations.

3. This high-profile company, based in Lodz, worked mostly on interior designs of various boutiques in major
modern shopping centres in the biggest cities in Poland and in Berlin, in Germany. We also prepared
projects of cafes, restaurants and residential interiors.
My responsibility was not only to produce drawings from senior architect’s sketches and suggestions but also
propose my own solutions, prepare plans of architectural and furniture details, sometimes generate
visualisations, visit sites and liaise with specialists, tradesmen and clients.
I was, among other things, involved in the design of the following projects:
- series of shops for “Pabia” in various polish cities.
- luxury boutique “Jean Paul and Blacky Dress” for Henke Mode in Kurfürsterdamm Staße in Berlin in
Germany.
- shoe shop “Black Fleck” in Warsaw
- a series of shops in different cities for well established polish company “Wólczanka”
- a shop with candles and candle accessories – “Candella”
- shop with elegant clothes for women.
