Google deserves a separate page Collaborative learning with another class distant in time and place with Google Docs Check out all the tools you can use at http:// www.google.com/educators/tools.html Have your own email, calendar, image storing/sharing page, blog, RSS feed Reader, Documents (spreadsheet, WP and Ppt) and web site all linked to your Google page. And there is so much more you have access too, such as Google Earth It is a one stop shop!

Try Teacher Tube or Teachers TV (UK) Have a look at the wonderful educational videos on the National Geographic channel Check out Viddix and see how other NZ teachers have used video in the classroom
  • 31. Interact with another class in a different place or time Use Hot Chalk or skrbl as collaborative online interactive whiteboards to communicate with others in different places. Try mind mapping with Thinkature or Mindmeister and collaborating on a mind map. Try Skype as a tool for the classroom too.

  • 33. The teacher is more important than the technology The teacher matters most, not the technology! we need to harness the technology to enhance the learning - it’s how we use it that counts! Students need time to reflect, discuss, question, find out and collaborate while using the tools of technology
  • 34. Make ICT happen effectively Plan for ICT to happen - link to daily plan Roster use so all get to use it Use a variety of ICT tools Use a variety of applications and ideas Spend time setting up and it will become a part of the classroom practice
