2. From the creation account in the first two
chapters of Genesis, to the Ten Commandments
given to the children of Israel through Moses, to
the living examples set for us by Yeshua and His
disciples and Rav Shaul (the Apostle Paul), we find
instructions and clarity in God's word about His
Holy Day, Shabbat, the seventh day of rest called
the Sabbath day.

3. What day is the seventh day?
•Saturday?
•Sunday?
AngeeSee.com
4. The seventh day on the Gregorian Calendar is
Saturday.
Sunday is the first day of the week and cannot be
the seventh day. The biblical Sabbath day then
coincides with Saturday on the calendar.
We find in the New Testament that both Yeshua,
his disciples and Paul kept the seventh day
Sabbath rest (called Shabbat in Hebrew) and were
in the synagogues on Shabbat. (Luke 4:16, Acts
18:3,4,11, Acts 17:1,2)

6. This change was made by the Roman Catholic
Church.
"The Catholic Church says that by its divine
power it abolishes the Sabbath day and
commands we 'keep holy the first day of the
week'. And lo! The entire civilized world bows
down in reverent obedience to the command of
the Holy Catholic Church,”wrote Father Thomas
Enrich, in the Roman Catholic journal The
American Sentinel.

7. When does the REAL Sabbath Day
begin and end?
AngeeSee.com
8. In the modern day culture we live in, we are
taught that a new day begins and ends at
midnight. This belief is contrary to what we find in
Scripture and is not how a Biblical day is
measured. It would have been impossible in
Biblical times to know when midnight comes
without mechanical clocks.

9. Yahweh our God created days and nights and He
shows us how He regards the starting and ending
of a day in Genesis Chapter 1. Sunset in the
evening marks the time when a day has ended
and
a
new
day
begins.
"And there was evening and there was morning,
day one"... or some versions might read "the first
day".

10. We see that "day one" in the first day of creation
had two parts to it:
A time period of no light - from sunset to dawn
A time period of light -from daylight to sunset
Therefore sunset was the start of the night
portion of the first day and sunrise was the start
of the daylight portion of the first day.

11. In Bible Study we must remember that a day
starts in the evening and ends at sunset the next
evening. Therefore Shabbat, is and always has
been from sunset in the evening of our Fridays to
sunset of Saturday evening.

13. Reason #1
Honoring any other day as the Sabbath is a direct
violation of one of the Ten Commandments.
Yeshua said, "But in vain they do worship me,
teaching for doctrines the commandments of
men." (Matthew 15:9)

14. Reason #2
2) Observing Shabbat and all the appointed times
(Feasts of Yahweh) equips us to understand
prophetic timing of both the First Coming and the
Second Coming of Yeshua our Messiah.

15. Reason #3
3) It is the sign of the covenant between Yahweh
and His people to set them apart as His own, even
throughout the Book of Revelation.
